Requirements
Academic Progress
Students must be pursuing or hold a bachelor’s degree in child life, child development, psychology, family science, education, social work, or a related field. Pediatric nursing students interested in child-friendly healthcare delivery are also welcome to apply.
Eligibility Assessment
Child life students at a US or Canadian college or university must provide documentation showing progress toward completing the required ACLP coursework (here).
Experience Hours
Proof of hands-on experience or volunteer hours with children and families (ideally including work in stressful situations or healthcare settings) is required.
Language(s)
Please note your known languages and your level of understanding on your CV. English is required, and other languages are an asset.

Students must submit a PDF (one single file) inclusive of the following:
1. Cover letter.
2. CV.
3. Unofficial transcripts with courses intended to satisfy ACLP coursework requirements highlighted (not applicable for pediatric nursing students).
4. Documentation of your experience hours.
5. Two professional or academic letters of recommendation attesting to the applicants character and motivation.
6. Background check.
7. Proof of liability insurance.
8. Liability waiver.
9. Proof of influenza vaccination.
Interview
Following the successful receipt of your application, you will be contacted for a virtual interview, after which a decision will be made.
